A new translation and interpretation of Frank Wedekind's classic play, SPRING AWAKENING explores the lusts, despairs and dreams of a group of nineteenth century German adolescents. When they meet in a wood to playact their fantasies in a 'safe' environment, events quickly spin out of control and the play takes a dive towards surrealism. With physical theatre, original music and the premiere of new translation by Thea Warren, SPRING AWAKENING promises to be a heady trip through the teenagers' fevered minds.

Praise for MB Productions:

"Fabulous physicality, utter commitment, tremendous focus, great connection between the players, compelling throughout...an extraordinary company"
Mary-Kay Gamel, Professor of Classics, Comparative Literature and Theatre Arts; University of California, Santa Cruz.

'...a masterpiece of physical theatre.'
Oxford Theatre Review.

"...there are moments, minutes, scenes and sequences of sublimity; places where criticism has to stop and I have to clutch your sleeve and say, book. Book now.'
