"Immaculate direction and wonderfully acted"
by Jane de Florez on 18/08/08

This short play by David Campton was thoroughly enjoyable. It is well-written and every phrase is beautifully crafted and effective.

Kathryn Hegarty directs with a precision beyond her years, with complete understanding of the characters within the play and achieves a noticeable synthesis with them and the actors.

Each and every actor (all women) in this work knows her character well and is deeply focused in her. There was not a moment when I was not completely captivated by what was unfolding on the stage. Such well-observed and acted characters were a delight to watch.

I was very pleased with the quality of the voices and the way they were orchestrated. The blocking was also excellent with some lovely stage pictures produced.

This director and her actors have achieved a standard of work that would sit very happily on the stage of The Royal National Theatre.
